Help

Postby NVAirsofter » Sun Oct 17, 2010 8:57 pm

I know this may have been asked MANY times before, and I apologize if I get anyone angry, but I am looking to upgrade my JG M16A3 to a DMR. I already bought a Guarder SP130 spring, and would like to know what specifically else I would need to prevent my internals from blowing up (not like a bomb) on me. if you could help me, that would be great. :)

P.S. I am VERY cheap, so the less I have to spend, the better. I will dish out money IF needed, but I am trying to avoid that as much as possible. Thank you again.

Good things come to those who wait, assuming the early bird hasn't gotten it already and left you diddly squat.

The key to a good dmr rifle is consistency. Consistency needs to be obtained by taking out variables. i.e. the fps difference. If I have a rifle that is shoot 400fps one shot, but 385fps another that will drastically change my shot to shot consistency-there for I may never know if my BB is going to be on target or not. So to eliminate this a good seal is needed. This can be done by simply replacing a bad o-ring on the piston. (You may not have bad compression this is just an example)

Something you will need to do is eliminate the variable of poor quality accuracy-affecting parts. This includes the barrel and hop up rubber. Get a high quality barrel (laylax PDI-yes you can get away with madbull or another cheap one, but I would take my steel 6.03 laylax over my buddies aluminum 6.01 any day). Also for a bucking, this is where you do not want to cheap out. KWA just came out with a new style bucking that looks promising. There is also the good old firefly's that have excellent reviews. Those run about $16.

Final note: Don't cheap out, replace the barrel and hop up rubber first, and aim for consistency.

Ok Thank you. I will try not to cheap out. And after I get this? (Sorry. I am just trying to get a list now, that way I am not worried and panicked about what to get later on.)

Also, would it be best to just replace the whole hop up unit itself? Like get a metal one? or just the bucking?
