Echo 1 has really good AK's, but their M4's are subpar.

I don't get it. Are they mad that people know that Echo1 is a rebrand? Are they insinuating that people who know this are chairsofters? Usually the people who know that much about the products are fairly active.

Or are they saying they are not a rebrand and they are making fun of other brands who are?

In all seriousness, it seems like this ad is simply a counter attack to all their detractors. Sort of saying its easy to be a critic, especially for those that never tried our product a so called "chair softer"

Its a touchy, because I'm sure there are experienced players that found something to not like with echo 1.

I've never handled any Echo 1's AEGs so I can't make a judgement call on their quality. However I appreciate the philosophy that fuels their business about making airsoft affordable without much sacrifice in quality.

Ultimately they're trying to improve their image from all the negative attention they've recieved for being a "re-brander."

Echo 1 doesn't even make guns, and they've openly admitted to rebranding in the ASGI interview. They're retarded.

They're jealous of VFC and G&P.

This is an ad that might serve as a "defense" for Echo1 owners who are picked on for having a rebranded Chinese AEG. I think the hope of Echo1 is that their customers will have more confidence against the elitist hordes by having what is supposed to be a snappy comeback.

The problem with the ad is that it alienates folks who are skeptical of Echo1 because they are rebranded. Someone who was on the fence about buying their brand's products might be turned away by an ad that's calling them a chairsofter for not already having purchased their product.

There's also too much visual contrast. The point of the word "THIS" being larger is that extra emphasis is placed on the object, in this case, the AEG. We are supposed to be impressed by the AEG in the picture, but it is difficult to see, so that attempt is a loss. Also, I can't tell if this kid in the image is wearing a set of nice BDUs and tac gear or if he's another retard in sweatpants and a hoodie. Granted, he is holding an Echo1, so I'll let the statistics do the talking on that point...

TL:DR version: Ineffective ad is ineffective.

I feel like this won't positively impact their sales in terms of acquiring a new customer base, rather just steer more people away.

It will just make Echo1 fanboys think they made the right purchase and that their AEG is better than everyone else's.

EDIT: Shouldn't there be a hyphen between chair and softer? Chair-softer?

Fail ad is fail.

THAT SAID, I know a several excellent airsofters who use Echo 1, or even JG/SRC/Dboys etc, and do quite well with them. Good players using a gun that fits their budget - nothing wrong with that.

Maybe retailers should respond with a similar ad.

"CUSTOMER SERVICE THIS! NEWB!"

I'm just interested on what the one gun is/ why are they saying this gun isn't rebranded.

Looks like an M4 with a folding stock, or one of the AK's with a folding stock that has a birdcage flash hider for some reason.
