KWA SR-10 12V Battery Q

Postby dom186 » Sat Oct 30, 2010 11:20 am

I bought the King Arms Enhanced Carbine stock expecting that it would fit the King Arms 11.1v 1600mah Lipo since it was manufactured from the same company, but I was wrong. The stock only for sure will fit the Intellect 9.6V or the Intellect 12v (I could only find a few sellers for the 12v). I bought the gun because of the performance it has when powered with Lipo's, so will a 12v Nimh battery put out the same performance, or will it be too much?

KWA doesn't say anything about the 12v, but if it can take a 11.1V lipo I don't see why it could take a 12v Nimh. Its only .9V more!

Do you guys have any ideas?? I don't want to mod the stock to fit the silly battery. Or should I just settle for the 9.6V?

Because of the output, for w/e reason I have always seen that the 12v NiMh battery's produce slightly less speed out of a motor than an 11.1 LiPo

i prefer the 9.6v but thats just me
I DID NOT INVENT THE INTERNETS FOR THIS

It all depends on the amperage of the lipo. My tiny PEQ15 lipo gives out 12.6v, so thats not a good thing to go by.

My main concern is that I will lose the speed of the motor on semi. I love how fast my KWA pops out the bullet on semi. It is almost instantaneous. So will a 12v seriously effect my "semi speed" for lack of a better term.

Then get a motor with more torque. KWA motors really don't have a very good trigger response... Well compared to a G&P M160 and a Systema magnum at least, that's what I'm used to.

A mosfet will solve the issue of trigger response.

I'd like to see an explanation proving that to be true.

Sure there is a 26 page thread on Arnies discussing Mosfets and how they help.
