It has 7mm metal ball bearing bushings. I think I will leave it at 400 for now and get a better barrel, hop up nub, and cylinder.

on my echo1 sr25, i tossed in a full cilinder and a 509mm mad bull 6.03 and I really like how it performs. I went with the mad bull shark bucking with the x nub thing, Its pretty accurate. but i know theres better options out there for nub/ hop rubber

the 509 is extended out of the outer barrel about 5 1/2 inch's and covered by a suppressor, Im pretty impressed by this 32 doller barrel too, other then it being aluminum, if you keep it clean its pretty accurate.

No. I have a JG SR-25. G&G SR-25s have longer gearboxes, air nozzles, pistons and possibly some other internal differences. And from what I've heard they have way too many problems for me to blow $400 on one.

You're completely wrong. JG SR25's have elongated gearboxes that use standard V2 parts, G&G's have V2 gearboxes and an elongated hopup chamber. CA and G&P have elongated GB's that don't use V2 parts (well, the gears, piston, etc). I've seen a bit of misinformation from you recently, I suggest you double check what you say before saying it.

I have one. It takes standard size parts. It has a regular size piston that is much shorter than an Sr-25 one. Maybe somebody put in a different gearbox, I don't know. You should not be an a$$.

Why are they longer?

They're longer so that you can use a standard V2 hopup unit, and not one like the G&G's mentioned earlier. It's a better design over the CA/G&P gearbox IMO.

At any rate my point is that I have a JG, not a super fancy gun.

Just do what you need to get the performance you want out of your gun, and if it breaks, buy/build a new gearbox. I promise you will learn from the experience. This is how I learned gearboxs.
