I gave you an 8, if that's good or not, Cosmies (I'm a tough grader). You always find rare and inventive characters and make them fun!

Also UPDATE: Another piece for my costume came in the mail yesterday. I have only one more piece due and then putting it together and I should have mine done!

Cosmos, I dont know anyone on this board.
I'm not a hater. I am new to airsoft and just got my first airsoft gun and some pretty awesome gear to start playing.
I voted you a 1 because I didn't think your costume was as good as ALOT of others. That doesn't make me a hater, I just voted how I felt. It also bumped the person I think is the best.
My vote does not seem to have hurt you, so why call people haters? Everyone votes for who they like.
That's why it is a contest. I plan on entering next year.
good luck and no hard feelings man..

Well I thought we were suppose to use the given scale to rate each costume

Judging Criteria

1. 40% Costume Quality. How much effort did you put into your costume?

2. 40% Authenticity. How close you look to the real thing.

3. 20% Creativity & Originality. How cool was your idea? Did everybody else have it?
Kick me. I go "Moooooooo!!!!!"

I hope not. Everyone can vote me a 1 next year and I wont BAAAAAW about it. This looks like it is for fun and just to see the feed back should be the reward. With so many really great costumes, I would not win. I do think it would be fun to participate though. :D
Goodluck to everyone!

Rioting cows, I believe that is for the judges after the 10 have been selected. That's how I read it. If that were the case, the guy in the speedo would be way down in the bottom. No offense to the guy in the speedo

I voted based on that breakdown, though it was more 33/33/34%

I voted based on costume construction, and creativity with the character. Also I'm into propmaking and those got huge points from me.

My big pet peeve is costumes that cut corners, that's kind of why the Predator didn't score as high with me since I have a friend that built one that was more detailed (though the shoulder cannon was pretty awesome!)

Overall this is way better than last year.

I actually voted more similarly to how Dan did. Originality and creativity is great, and quality and accuracy is a plus.
The way I see it, human beings are as creative as they choose to be.
Quality can be very dependant on disposable income.
and Accuracy has to be judged on a sliding scale. I could get doled up in a Punisher: Warzone get-up, but the plain and simple fact remains that my arms are thinner then Frank Castles thumbs.

That is fine vote the way you want your low but people seem to forget this:
1. 40% Costume Quality. How much effort did you put into your costume?

2. 40% Authenticity. How close you look to the real thing.

3. 20% Creativity & Originality. How cool was your idea? Did everybody else have it?

This contest isn't about give your favorite a 10 and everyone else a 1.
I am not worried about myself I am here to have fun but I hate the way people start throwing the 1s around for political reasons (either they don't like someone or are just trying to shape the results). The last 3 years the top 3 costumes sat at just above a 6 score. If that was a grade it would be a D just passing. Prizes are cool for sure but sometimes I wish there weren't any and we did this just for fun and to show off. I already have my prize... an awesome picture that makes my friends and family laugh and two awesomely detailed replicas of Romeo's guns. I win. I just want everyone else to have a fair chance at having fun too.

Giving them an honest rating based on the criteria is always a good idea. But the truth is, it's a popularity contest. People will gouge with 1 ratings and people will bump with 10s. In the end, it evens itself out... unless nobody likes you, then you just lose.

Perhaps next year we should use a voting system where you just cast votes for your favorite, and we tally the votes.

@ Matt- I think the rating system is pretty fair. It would be a popularity contest either way, but the way you have it set up now impartial judges make the actual selections for the prizes.
I would like to see a rule that unless you are an attractive female, no swimsuits allowed.
On that subject a swimsuit contest for females would be great.
