Anyone with a kwa sr12/m16 make it 500fps?

Postby MikeRarrmeh [64oz] » Fri Nov 05, 2010 2:24 am

I have a sr5 with a 363mm 6.03 barrel inside, was getting about 365-370ish fps

I put a m120 spring in it and it started shooting 440fps :!:

My friend has a kwa m16, and we're trying to make it into a DMR.

was just seeing if anyone has put a m130ish spring and gotten 500fps out of an m16/sr12 with still perfect compression

My buddy Todd has an SR12. 650mm 6.01 tight bore and an M130 spring and he was shooting 530. Been running it for nearly a year now with no problems.

My SR12 shoots a little over 500 with .28s and about 480ish with .3s. Heres the list of what i have in mine. maybe your buddy can check it over and use it as a platform or he can even try his own build out to see what results he gets and what he would want to keep or change up.

-G&G Torque Helical Gears
-AMP T5000l Torque Motor
-Stock KWA Piston/Head
-Systema Area 1000 Type 0 Cylinder
-Guarder SP140 Spring

Cool that you did this but just so you know. This wouldn't be useable at any standard AP game.(400 fps is the standard for all aeg's) Also, when it comes to DMR's at games that allow them, 450 to 475 fps is usually what's allowed.

Yes, most event hosts require that the aeg in question, be incapable of switching to full auto.

Most "AP Games" are located in Oregon and Washington, but we are always glad to have people throughout the country post about games.

I don't understand the obsession with power, its a round object, ballistic properties get less desirable as the speed increases....
I DID NOT INVENT THE INTERNETS FOR THIS

Mad fps doesnt help if you cant hit your target, try getting decent accuracy first then work on the fps. Accuracy is all that really matters
