Public Service Announcement

The chrono limits below are a maximum. You cannot go over by even 1fps or the replica will not be allowed. Make sure you are within the limits. These limits are not up for debate.

Unsure of your replicas fps? AONW will let you test your replica on their chrono.

FPS Limits (measured w/ .20g bb):
AEG - 400max
DMR* - 450max *Semi Only. Cannot convert to full auto
Bolt-Action - 550max
Pistols - 350max
Shotguns - 350max

I'll be bringing gorilla tape to put over selector switches, if needed on DMR's.
Also DMR's will be marked with a ring of blue tape on the barrel.

If you're using a bolt or DMR. I suggest bring a sidearm, if you plan on going near any buildings.

I thought DMRs had to be physically incapable of full auto as in the gearbox itself (as seen in the AR-10 types some people have)?

Usually they just have to be modified to be incapable of firing full auto. Rick would like to do a hard cap of 400 fps for AEG's and this is a simple solution so people can play.

The intent here is to provide safety to the players since we will be playing in such close proximity from each other in the buildings and city.

I have hosted many events this year and see about a 3 person average that chrono just over 400fps. I get calls on just about each one when it happens. This will effect such a small few, not worth the fuss. AP's rules have always been 400fps and they do give a few fps allowances.

Again the idea is to promote safe play given the field. I believe ash bash you had to switch to a 350fps or less secondary to enter the city but I could be wrong.

If you happen to chrono over 400 you have 3 choices.

1.) Do nothing and leave the event with refund
2.) Use a AEG that will pass chrono
3.) Have your flash hider taped with blue duct tact and the selector switch taped to allow semi auto only. You will then fall under the DMR policy. There is a few other simple prochedures that go along with this that can be explained if you fall under item 3.)

It did say that, but I'm glad Rick dropped it. 420FPS isn't going to help you that much, just make the person on the receiving end hate you more

Plan on using a sidearm for buildings if your shooting 350+. Or just use a frag/send in a teammate with a 350~ gun/don't go near the buildings.
