Sup, How's the housing market in Oregon?

Postby Precisional » Sat Nov 20, 2010 3:06 pm

Hey guys, I haven't really be active on the forums, because I hadn't really been active in airsofting lately. With only two decent fields down here in socal, I had lost my interest for awhile. Anyways, hopefully within a year or so, I'll be moving up into oregon, where I plan to get back into airsofting eventually. For now though, I was just curious if any of you could give me some recommendations on locations, where I could rent a cheap apartment, that would still be relatively close to the fields.

Thanks, and I look forward to meeting you guys in the future.

Around the Portland area is your best bet for field distance. We have 5 or 6 field that I can think of that are less than a 2h drive from Portland. Other people will know more than me though.

Thanks guys, also just a note, I'm looking more for cheaper housing, than being close to the fields lol, I don't mind a bit of a drive. I'm just planning out an estimate of how much I'll need to save for a few months rent to get settled. Pretty much, the cheapest 1 bedroom apartment I can find, that's within 2-3 hour drives of a decent field. So far, portland looks about twice as expensive as say an apartment in salem, but I don't really know the areas like you guys would.

Parts of Salem are pretty cheap.

Eugene and Springfield are cheap and still within 2-3 hours of most stuff.
Anything south of Eugene sucks.

there are decent fields south but in Portland you're in a good decent distance from all of the local fields, but as far as cheap goes look around the Tigard area.

Salem will be a lot cheaper. You can also find a lot of cheap housing in Beaverton and Gresham, which are just outside of Portland.

We play in the woods and the areas around Portland are pretty built up or farmland, so wherever you are, you're always about the same distance to the fields (the fields all circle Portland an hour out).

Also, welcome!
