Temp v AEG/other

Is there a temp that you should store your AEG at? I know that you can’t use a gun 35*f or you can break your gearbox shell, but does it matter if it’s not being used?

I've never had a gearbox break on me because of the cold. I keep all my guns regardless of what the temp is outside in my bedroom.
