Madbull is teaming up with a bunch of firearms companies and Customs to combat the import of unauthorized copies of guns and accessories.... along with other countries.

Frikking international effort...

Most often china brands do not even put trades on their replicas so this is a pointless publicity exercise. Not to mention That madbull has no rights in doing this if all they have is a crappy licensing agreement with G&G and A&K to make their crappy acr and Masada. oh and that pos FPG that obviously no one wants anymore. lol

Madbull wrote:Most unauthorized copies are 1:1 scale which can be easily applied to a real firearm. This poses a problem because whereas they are 100% visual copies they are not constructed by the same materials and do not possess the same build quality. This is a huge risk to any end user since it’s highly probable that the copy will malfunction and cause serious damage to both the weapon and user.

I want to know what idiot is out there that buys an airsoft product and puts it on a real steel weapon expecting it to hold up - and that part has the potential to cause damage to either property or person.
Darwin steps in right there and starts culling the herd if thats the case.

Also - "Many of these firearm companies receive damaged returns which turn out to be an unauthorized copy that has failed but bare all the correct trademarks but were manufactured in Asia"

What?! Knowing that someone this stupid owns a firearm just makes me want to get my CCL to protect myself from....well, overall ignorance.
And I've heard it more than once - "Ignorance is no excuse."

*facepalm*

To be fair, a shady seller could misrepresent airsoft gear as the real thing (for crazy profits, mind you), and point to the trademarks in defense of a fraud claim against him.

MadBull is doing this only on licenses they own, such as Daniel Defense parts, Noveske Parts, Gemtech, etc.

I say good for them.

Let's say Madbull looks around and sees that they have the only license to make Noveske replicas. But they aren't making as much money selling these replicas because China sells an unlicensed one for cheaper. So let's pretend Madbull is able to wipe out ALL the unlicensed Noveske replicas (they can't). It doesn't take a college degree to see what happens to the price of that Madbull Noveske replica once they have no competition.

This is just Madbull being greedy bastards. Business as usual.

It's funny because this whole industry started with some company making replicas of real guns. Now they don't want illegal copies of products. But the entire industry is based on plagiarism.
