ATF rescinds "firearm" ruleing for Airsoft?

So they tell how you convert an airsoft gun to fire live ammo, ban them, and then un-ban them?

So all they did was alert people to the possibility that a few types of airsoft replicas could be converted?

I feel safer already. ;)

Airsoft Outlet linked it on their Facebook. Looks true enough and it sounded like it was a power play to make the deputy director look like an idiot.

because a news reel picture of the guy inserting the mag in backwards doesnt make him look stupid enuff, right?

If they do start busting people as felons for airguns, they will make us sound like terrorists first. Need an airsofting public person. I would chip in for it.

The guns can not be converted from the documents I have read. Has anyone actually seen any proof that they can be converted? I was under the understanding that there was none.

I'm certain the ATF will gladly make an exception to their public information classification just for you lilwil. You're going to have to live with the knowledge that they're not going to release what amounts to a "How To" video. There is a reason it's not public.

The ATF -DID- indeed convert a WE M4 GBBR to fire at least one round. They have released that much information. Whether you agree with their thinking on the matter is not really that important.
