G&P->CA compatability...

Postby malik » Wed Dec 01, 2010 12:12 pm

Hey, I was trying to mount my G&P RAS II Long rals on my new M15A4, theupper goes on fine it seems, however the lower half doesn't go in well at all. The thing acts like it is too big for the delta ring. Am I doing something wrong or will something need dremmeling?

Also, has anyone ever tried putting a G&P outer barrel in a CA M15 Metal body? Mine doesn't fit, the stubs on the barrel are to big I think... It almost seems like G&P and CA don't play well together...
We want 'em to know if they're gonna leave a bomb on the side of the road, first, we're just gonna blow up their little f**kin road.

I can't understand your question. Write it out in at least 7 sentences with proper punctuation. Adding a picture will help as well.

Explain better, then give it some tough love, then check back for replies.

The G&P lower rails don't quite fit in to my CA delta ring. Simple as that. Am I doing it wrong or does something need to be filed/dremmeled?

Do you know if a G&P d-ring will go on a CA body? If not, how does one stabilize handguards from spinning if there's no gas tube?

I don't think they do, but I've never tried it. G&P's have different threading apparently.

G&P is different, but it's coarser, so it may work. Some rail systems have little knobs that fit between the spines on a barrel nut that keep them from spinning. If it doesn't, it has to stabilize on the gas tube.

Thanks, can you elaborate on

"Some rail systems have little knobs that fit between the spines on a barrel nut that keep them from spinning. If it doesn't, it has to stabilize on the gas tube."

At the back of the rail system where it fits into the delta ring, there is a groove that sits over the spines on the barrel nut. Inside this groove there might be bumps that will prevent it from spinning.
