wiring for my peq box

Postby phantom -VSR- » Thu Dec 16, 2010 6:24 am

So pretty soon here i'll be getting a Socom gear Daniel Defense 9" ris. Since I will not be wiring my gun to the back how would I get the wiring to work to have the least amount of it showing going to the peq box? And this particular rail is not a 2 piece so please keep that in mind. Thanks.

Clip the Tamiya connector off, put wires through RIS, re-wire charger, gun and battery(s) to deans.

Here is the other way:

Clip the Tamiya connector off, put wires through RIS, re-wire gun.

Either way, you'll have to cut the plug off because it isn't a 2 piece rail. Why not wire it to the back? You can put a spare mag pouch on the buttstock, and keep the battery in there. Or if it's an M16 stock, the battery will easily fit inside.

Is it this rail?

I find that a lot of rails have wholes big enough to stick a small tamiya through and sometimes deans.
Is looks like you might be able to squeeze it through.

Just wait till you get the rail and see if you can fit your connector through the wholes. If you small type it should go right through, Deans might but doubtful, and large type you'll have to pop off the connector.
