URGENT! Please help! Issues with G36c disassembly! (pics)

Last night I tried to replace a spring in my KWA G36c, and all went fine until I got to the gearbox.

First off, when I opened the gearbox, a lot of stuff fell out (even though I did what the video said.) This could be because it was a V3 ak-47 gearbox guide, not a g36 guide.

The first thing was the trigger:

Another thing was this strange piece of metal and a small spring, which came off the gearbox casing by a loose screw. I don't know where the spring goes or how to put it back.

Here's a picture inside the gearbox. Two gears fell out, and this one very small (maybe 1.5mm thick) spring type thing with two thin metal pieces on each side sticking up and down.

I need to get everything back where it's supposed to be, and close the gearbox by monday!

If you need more pictures or anything, please ask!

Please help!

The g36 trigger is a phony pony, even I hate messing with them. You need to insert the trigger and trigger spring and then have someone else hold it down as you reassemble the rest of the gearbox; it is very VERY hard to do by yourself (I've managed to hold it in temporarily with duck tape but it is still a major pain).

The weird metal thing goes on the outside of the right piece of the gearbox after it is put together (the spring rests in a slot between it and the gearbox).

And I'm not understanding your last picture/question... Could you highlight in the picture exactly what you are talking about?

If you need more help I can post some pictures of where various things go.

Okay I'll try to upload some more pics of the last thing I talked about.

One thing in that last pic is the gears are gone, I'll circle them though.

The V3 gearbox is universal. Ak gearboxes will be the same as G36 ones (in general).

The video should show you where everything goes. Take a look at this video if you still can't figure it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NehNh7xpCgI

And yes, I hate putting in V3 triggers.

I watched that video and got the gears back by taking off the tab-t(spelling) plate and placing them as seen. However, I still have no idea how to put the trigger and that weird spring thing back!

That would be the trigger-spring.

And here is pictures of the weird metal plate in your second picture of your original post.

I just have to find out how to put the tab-t plate back on...

I'll keep watching the video.

No problem.

You mean the tappet plate?

Yeah, tappet plate.

I can't seem to get the gears right though. In the above video he puts that metal latch thing by the gears, he says there's a spring keeping it from spinning a full 360 degrees, however mine just spins, and there is no spring.

I'm still having trouble with the tappet plate, putting the cylinder and stuff into the gearbox in one piece, and closing the gearbox though...

Best bet is to find someone who knows what they are doing show you how to put it back together. Where in Portland do you live?

Then you may be missing the spring that goes with the anti-reversal latch. It is rather small and is easily miss placed- unfortunately you will need to replace it if you can't find it.

Here is a picture of what the spring should look like:

To me it sounds like you may want to get someone else to help you with this; the g36 is not a good first gun to take apart...

I live in the Raleigh Hills area, near a school called Bridlemile Elementary School.

I actually finally managed to get the air nozzle, cylinder, tappet plate and spring back in. :]

I'm gonna look for the spring G36 FTW, it's gotta be in here somewhere...

So I can't find that spring any where.

But there is no way there was ever a spring, because all of this was done in a contained area, and it all stayed there.

Perhaps the KWA G36c's don't have a anti-reversal latch spring?

Here's a pic, please tell me if there's anything wrong with the gearbox before I close it up!

That anti-reversal thing is near the bottom middle.

Shoot.

turns out that I have that latch upside-down. You can see that in the pic.

Guess I'll keep looking...
