Best way to clean an inner barrel?

Postby pseudoanimosity » Sun Dec 19, 2010 5:21 pm

What is the best way to clean an inner barrel of an AEG? I already know how to use the cleaning rod and such, but what would be the best chemical to apply to the inside in order to get a barrel clean?

I don't use any chemicals and my barrels are fine... If I wanted to though, I'd just use a LITTLE bit of silicone spray then use another dry cloth to get all of the excess spray out.

This.

Be careful not to get any silicone on the hop-up rubber or it will be pretty inaccurate for a while. If you want to be super thorough, remove the barrel and the hop-up from it to ensure the bucking stays un-lubed.
