P90 CA vs TM?

Postby DJ » Tue Dec 21, 2010 7:06 pm

I am going to buy a P 90 for use in the APC (pretty tight quarters). I cannot find a Classic Army (pro line )in stock any where. TM seems to be readily available . Please provide any input regarding quality of one vs the other. If you have not owned one please please refrain. I realize the price issue , but that issue is moot for me.

I've got a Sportline P90TR by CA, and its nice. P90's aren't my thing so I never use it, but as far as performance goes id rate it an 8. The TM doesn't feel as solid (on the lighter side of the two company products) but I think the performance is equal.

The TM P90 TR was my first rifle, and I must say I loved it. The quality is pretty good considering it is a TM, so the hop up is top notch, I was getting just as much range as other people who's rifles were shooting 300+ Also the first rifle I teched to and that went as smooth as ever. All in all I loved it and should have kept it, however the CA does have a nicer plastic body, as the TM is just ABS. The CA is also metal, but that makes it front heavy. I haven't owned a CA Pro, but held one. Hope that helps. If you get the TM you won't be disappointing as far as performance.

I have the CA proline. The body is spectacular. I have only put roughly 100 rds through it though, so, I can't tell you about the longevity.

I have a TM P90, got it used from Nocte so not sure how much use it got but it's most likely 3-4 years old and things solid, light, high fire rate with 9.6, and the two stage trigger is nice. Reason I talk about age is my tappet plate broke a few weeks ago. Internals look great and show no wear after all that time(minus the broken tappet plate of course).
Kick me. I go "Moooooooo!!!!!"
