I have the short barreled SA58, and love it. The build quality is excellent, and the only part that really needed replacing was the piston head. As for the price, mine was the last one AONW had, and they wanted it gone, so I got it for $320 with a free battery and bag of bbs. Watch out for the charging handle, as it's the one weak point on the gun. The piece that connects the handle to the dust cover is weak, mine came broken. the easiest thing to do is to drill through and put a stronger bolt in. The only other problem is the lack of Midcaps. I've kinda solved this by converting mine to feed from Ak magazines. The stock is not as big inside as you'd think, crane stock batteries seem to fit the best. AONW originally gave me a giant 8.4v, but it wouldn't fit.
All in all, it's a great gun, and from what i've heard the only way the KA fals are better is the availability of midcaps and the number of different variants. It's also solid as a rock, inside and out.
