i use a condor compact plate carrier, minimal space for pouches but it's comfy and has a lot of ventilation.

You could go with a WASATCH. They're nice cause they have built in mag pouches, but there's tons of MOLLE space to add what you want.

or
You could try a MOD vest. You'd have to buy pouches for it, but there's no back on it so it ventilates really well.

eh, i'm 6'2" with some stomach and i have to move the straps to inside the back plate flap and tighten them a fair distance, but thats because i needed it tigher for when i had a triple closed-top mag pouch that held the mags really tight. if you use a looser mag solution you could give it a little less tighteneing.

Best way to go imo for a newer player getting in to MOLLE, it allows you to customize your gear appropriately to your likings, I had this set a year ago and was absolutely superb until I moved on to a Flyye Replica CIRAS, nonetheless, go for this one if you want a well priced vest w/pouches

You know the FAPC doesn't come with pouches though right?

They are great rigs ( I love mine) just be prepared to buy pouches for it.
