Mine field for "rent"

Postby DJ » Thu Jan 13, 2011 2:54 pm

Hey event planners, hosts , skirmish planners.

Based on a post last year from Matt (AP Matt), I developed an interest in the S Thunder water mines. We ( my sons and I ) can now field 20 of the beasts. We have water mines, some RAP 4 powder shot mines, a couple of the thin Mad Bull toe poppers along with assorted trip wires ( blank firing) and a few other surprises. You can deny access , slow down troop movement, steer squads / armies where you want etc... messes with the head too when you know that you are in a "mined area". The point being, if you would like to utilize any of our hardware in your event, send me a PM and we will see what we can do for you. The cost? Well for now, free admission to your event.

The water mines are awesome and have become our favorite ordinance. They shoot water in a 360 degree spread 6-9' in the air. There is no doubt if you have set one of these things off. I will post a picture of our load out when I get the Nikon out and do it..

Sounds like a great idea; I'd love to see these in action (but not up close).

Sounds like a fun, and realistic thing to add to events. I'm all for it.

I could see a good Africa-themed game off this.

Cuz, you know, they have a few mines there.

Sounds awesome. I'd love to see those water mines in actions. So long as I'm not the one setting it off...

Pretty much the later. Thats sort of the idea, you are watching your feet more than your surroundings....then the guy with the SAW makes you wish you had watched your suroundings more.......thats part of the psyche of mines, they mess with your head too....then again, the random mine flag whether theres a mine or not

DJ I like your idea. For months last year [here in the grants pass area] i set up trip wires and used other devices to add another demention to our training and our local games,

At least , most of the up to 25 yo players looked forward to this new challenge.

There was some fustration at first for some players, Then they adjusted and i feel became better players.

DJ - this is an awesome idea. I'd be happy to give you free admission to any of my events for bringing these along. I think it adds a much needed dynamic to the game. Thanks for offering these up.
