Urgent: Airsoft Battery Question

Postby JoeHan » Fri Jan 28, 2011 11:28 pm

I have a 1400mAh NiMH 9.6 battery and a charger form my privious 8.4 NiMH battery. The output on the charger says DC 8.4V 250mA. Can I use this charger to charge my 9.6 battery? And if so how long will it take for a full charge?
And yes I know, smart chargers are great for your gun, I just havn't gotten around to getting one yet.

1400/250= 5+ hours if my math is correct*

*I have not had to do math in over 5 years... double checking should be done by someone more experienced.

NO.

A 8.4v charger will not charge a 9.6v battery.

Check that, it will charge it if it is discharged below 8.4V but will not charge it to its full capacity of 9.6v

if you only have 8.4 gallons of gas you cant fill a 9.6 gallon tank.

If it could charge the 9.6, would my math be correct though?

Buying a smart charger will save you all this hassle. ;)
