For a P.C should I get plates? or will it feel weird without them, like loose and jigily? Any help works, thanks guys.

I ran a PC without a plate for 2 years, then one day my teammate let me put his replica SAPI's in, and he never got them back after that.
If you've got a PC, put plates in it.

Okay, I can get real steel plates, or should I buy fake ones? Which work better?

Fake ones work fine, real ones are useful for what they're intended for, not so much for airsoft.

What's the point of plates in airsoft? isn't it just extra weight?

Fake plates are something I'd definitely invest in.

Does anyone know of a good place to get replica plates that can be filled with something to increase the weight?

Fills out your carrier so it's more comfortable. Replica plates weigh probably a total of 6 pounds, at most. Real plates are 12 pounds, at most.

If an extra 12 pounds makes it more difficult for you to move, you might want to hit up a gym.

What plates are you weighing? All of the replica plates I have handled come in at less than a pound for the pair.

Any plate that weighs over 6 lbs is going in the "I am not going to wear that pile".

I have medium SAPIs (real) in my PC and tbh I cant really tell the difference when its on me.

You definitely want some form of plates in there...it will fit a lot better - but you can just make them out of layers of cardboard.

Nasty I think they are talking about the hollow plastic plates that are used just as a filler and add no real weight to the vest.

I've heard you can fill the regular ones (plastic shell style) with sand and it will be pretty accurate weight wise. I've never done this, but I've heard it works from other people.

I'd suggest using dummy plates over real ones in airsoft since you don't need to stop live rounds and the added weight isn't going to help you play better. I run with a dummy plate on the front and a real SAPI on the back to balance out my FAPC.

Ive been rocking mine with nothing more than the soft padding that condor stuck in it. I figure why bother, at work I wear my vest because it's a necessity but airsoft doesn't require ballistic protection. If your really worried you can cut some of your own utilizing multiple layers of cardboard for the effect and taping them together to make one big plate.

You mean the rounds flying at Carlton 3 didn't get you to put real plates in and a real Kevlar cover on?

LMAO, Carlton was action packed for sure. That's probably the one field I would pack my ballistic gear without fail, Vaughn more so since the rounds flew over him
