Wierd smart charger

Postby Maginus » Thu Feb 10, 2011 12:41 pm

I have two batteries and I have a dpower universal smart charger and when I hook those batteries up I get no lights which means the batterys are bad. but if I put a crap wall charger on the battery for alittle bit then put the smart charger on the battery it acualy charges it. Can someone enlighten me as too why it is doing this?

Black ones?

Yeah, more info is needed--the more info, the more help people can provide. Battery, chargers, are they discharged fully, etcetera.

It seems, in my exprience atleast, that if the battery is all the way dead or almost dead the smart chargers wont register that the battery is even connected and just wont charge. Ive had to charge up my batteries on "dumb" chargers partially then transfer them over to a smart charger so that they would just register and then they work fine.

Doesn't the D-Power smart charger blink when a battery is not connected? If it doesn't do that it could be something wrong with the charger itself

ya blinks green when nothing is connected, solid red when charging, solid green when finished and if a battery is connected and no lights turn on it means the battery is junk. but I got curious when it said both batterys were dead so did the dumby charger test and now the smart charger says they are not junk.
