EDITED: Not Echo1 its CA

My friend has this gun and wants me to trade him for my Xbox 360. Should I do it. Is there anything outstandingly wrong with this gun. It's a pretty good deal for a Xbox.

EDIT!!!: I'm not this Lil white kid.

In the long run, videogames aren't as fulfilling as airsoft. Do it!

The CA SAR Offizier M41 FS, is a very nice piece of equipment...
With it's full metal body and metal front end it quite a heavy replica. They sell for over $250 new in stores.
The down side to the G3 series, is it's not widely used in the airsoft community. You will find a few players using the full length G3-SG1 as a base for the HK-21 SAW platform, or as a DMR platform, but they are few and far between. The Mag's rock into and out of place as seen in the video making mag changes a bit more of a procedure, than a standard M4 variant.
The HK G3 takes the 7.62 round, so mag pouches a bit harder to come by. 2 G3 mags will fit in a triple mag 5.56 pouch, but shingle mags are harder to find for the 7.62 round size mags.

Is it a good trade? Yes, it sounds like the airsoft gun will probably be used more than your x-box. The replica in question is well built, and as long as he hasn't destroyed it internally it should serve you well. Just know that the G3 replicas are more of a rare bread on the field, People don't always know what they are, it will mistake it for a MP5, and you will have trouble with quick mag reloads, and finding pouches that fit...

I just bought this gun and it feels great! Unfortunately, it is having issues... The gearbox is seized, and I'm having trouble getting it to work again.

Anyways, I hope you get it. I would love to see a few more of these out there.

So i got the gun. No more Black Ops for me. YAA!! But I have a question what type of battery should I get for it. There are sooo many different types with different voltage, different mAh, different size, and different types (ie NiMH, NiCd, etc.)

HELLLP!!!

Use nimh or lipos. No nicds
For nimhs use a 9.6v, Lipos use a 7.4v (11.1 if you want fast rof)
The mah a battery has the longer it lasts.

get the largest 9.6v NIMH you can fit in the stock. the cell sizes are all over the place, so that could be anywhere in between 1500mah and 5000mah. a high mah 8.4v battery should work fine as well, unless there's some beefy upgrades in the gun.

you could also go lipo, but then you need a special charger and shouldn't get anything higher than a 7.4v. an 11.1v or higher will kill most stock CA guns pretty quick unless they are built up for it.

why not NICAD? they increase ROF more than a NIMH however you have the hassle of discharging them.

a 9.6v nicad will out perform a 9.6v nimh on the same replica. However lipos trumph them both considering they say a 7.4v is the equivelant of of 9.6v battery (not sure nimh or nicad) so a 11.1v is probally close to 13/14v nimh/nicad
