Attaching a foregrip to G3

Postby Shmalex » Sat Feb 12, 2011 3:42 pm

I have a G3 and I want to just attach an angled foregrip on it. Any recommendations. Could I just drill one rail to the bottom? Or would that mess up the gun?

Just get a RAS for it.

Something like this.

Just learn not to use a foregrip.

There's no other way.

Well my suggestion would be to make a block of wood shaped like that and attach it via hose clamps.

You could drill rails onto the bottom, just make sure to take off the foregrip first.

Attach a RIS or go without. AFGs are kinda worthless in AS since there's no recoil to tame ;)

Look at the under side of the front end of the G3, there should be two small holes in it... measure the length between the holes.... Find a singular rail to run between them. mount the rail.... mount the AFG.

Get a cheap springer and farm the rails off of it. Then drill through the handguard (discreetly) and affix with bolts/nuts. I did this for my OLD G3 SAS and it held a PEQ box quite well. PEQ looked gay, but the rail held up (and it was plastic!)
