Hello from the Inland Empire

Postby theboy988 » Wed Feb 16, 2011 12:22 am

Hello every one. There is a great chance that i will be moving back to the pacific northwest again very soon, namely the Beaverton area so i thought i'd drop by and make my introduction and familiarize my self with your guy's code of conduct and what not.

Now for a bit about my self. My name is Jeremy. My nickname or call sign is chip, i earned that name in phoenix... im sure you guys can imagine why (thank god for insurance!). I am 22 years old. I am a motorcycle mechanic by trade. I am currently living in coeur d alene, idaho and play with the spokane airsoft club. I'm considering moving back to the portland area because i grew up there and hope of finding work in my field.

As for airsoft, i've been playing for about 4 and a half years almost every weekend. I currently employ a TM M4 RIS modified by me, i also have an A&K SR25 project gun im starting to build. I was most active while i was attending school in phoenix arizona. While i was in phoenix i attended countless mil sim events playing every roll from a simple riflemen to commanding officer of an entire force upwards of 40 guys. I've hosted approximatively 40 pickup games successfully and a large scale mil sim event named "Operation Oasis" at an AO named Four Peaks in arizona. Operation Oasis is still being hosted as a continuing story by a team named Steelworks in phoenix.

I've also attended some military inspired training hosted by Mike Simpson of Marauders Tactical Training also based out of phoenix AZ. I've been instructed on 2 and 4 man room entry strategies, Vehicle ambush strategies including the use of 1, 3, and 4 vehicle motorcades. I've been instructed on how to recover VIPs from buildings both under fire and not. How to escort a VIP with a 4 and 5 man team through open terrain. How to react to contact with a VIP and how to react to an IED with a VIP. All of the training i've had the pleasure of attending had been instructed by military veterans and private sector operators.

I try to play mil sim events exclusively, unless of course there isn't one available at any given weekend then ill go to a pick up game. The reason i mainly play mil sim is because i find it to be more fun. i take airsoft seriously so that all the knowledge i gain on the field and from every one else i play with can be easily transitioned to real steel. Most of all i find it to be WAY more fun and thats why i play airsoft. I gave up paintball and will never look back.

Lastly, im a pain in the butt to get along with. Haha.

Pleasure to meet you all and with any luck ill be seeing you on the field very soon.
Jeremy aka Chip

Good day and welcome back to the PacNW.

There isn't too much milsim in the area, but it's starting to pick up speed I think.

Yeah i noticed as much. Who knows, maybe ill hook up with a good group of guys and start writing a new operation for every one. Operation Oasis was a big hit down in phoenix, i might even start it up here in this area.
