To Juice and Sodak: I did warn you at the start of the game that I was going to shoot you. Which I did. You've endeared me to my new role as an elite Delta Force Recon Ranger Sniper.

To SOTA: As always, I had fun. You guys brought your A game, as you always do. I get to troubleshoot my radio setup before Ash Bash, now. Mossy, I'll see if I can figure out why I couldn't get your radio to take the programming load, but as I said, I'm not gonna charge for services not performed.

To EDG/Medhi: lulz. I got shot at a lot because people reacted to movement and didn't waste any time on target identification. Most of you figured out pretty quickly that the idiot with the Kar98k kneeling in the dirt was not hostile to you, those of you that didn't usually ended up being shot at. I did apparently scare someone into running away, which was sad, because I was looking forward to the firefight. Some of you seemed confused that I wouldn't follow your orders, nevermind the fact that I was obviously one of your guys.

To anyone confused about the mercenaries: Sorry. I thought it was pretty obvious that our allegiances were always available to the highest bidder. I generally never engaged anyone from the rear (if I was on Mehdi's side of the line, I was shooting at EDG, if I was on EDG's side of the line, I was shooting at Mehdi). I missed most of the doublecrossing in the game because I was too busy looking for Juice/Sodak.

As always, I had fun, even if I have absolutely no idea how the game transpired, but such is the nature of warfare.

I had a lot of fun running around in a suit, but anyway, comments:

SOTA and friends: I could not have asked for a more awesome private security detail. Just the difference in look between you guys in the perfect contractor loadouts and Juice's squad made us already look far more professional and ready to win. You guys also performed fantastically. Even when it was dull there was an air of professionalism and just sheer badass. Also, your radios worked fantastically and I don't remember there ever being any communication issues within our team. It makes me want to go out and buy an ICOM right now :P

Ash: Thanks for running things on our side. You're really good at running a team.

Juice and friends: You do not know how happy I was to hear that my guys killed you in the first ten minutes. HAH phony pony!

EDG/Mehdi: It was real fun being somewhat neutral in the middle of a war, being able to walk between the lines without anyone shooting at you despite the fact that you've got six guys with assault rifles out and you yourself are rather obviously carrying one as well. That said, sorry about any confusion, but I don't know of any situations where we shot first, so if we were shooting at your positions, expect it to be because you were shooting at us. Despite confusions, both Pharoah 6 and Dan were easy to work with and I have to admit I did kinda feel bad about stiffing Dan out of 600 dollars, but hey, that's business

Black Sierra: Good admining. This was a huge game and despite that it looked to be one of the fairest games I've seen.

Rick: I've already given my notes to you, but thanks again. Also, that gold AK is awesome.

I did really like the 15 minute respawn idea... And using only mid-caps should be a must at any game, really makes the gameplay better. Only problem I had as getting the leftovers of some "red-armband bastards" and getting shot while trying to hold a line.

had fun admining this game. its been a long time since i did anything airsoft related and this game makes me kind of want to go back to it.

by far this was one of the best honored games i saw. there was very few reports that i heard of were people were hacking. i did not hear anyone say "call your hits A$$ H@!*" and none of the back and forth of "i hit you, no you didn't" stuff.

as an admin i always try to make it fare. even when one side had a corrective administrative action taken in its favor i always tried to even it out for the other side so everyone felt a level of fairness. my default was if ever there was an issue, everyone in the area was admin killed. i didn't hear anyone complain other then the regular "oh that sucks" when i did that.

i also really liked doping rounds on people and watching you scramble like roaches when the lights come on.

One small issue I had was near the two story tower & the village, there were a group of admins standing in the middle of the road talking. A few of us kept yelling to ask the admins to move because they were blocking our line of fire in a heavily contested area. Despite us yelling they continued to stand in the middle of the firing lane. It didn't appear they were addressing any issue, just hangin out. Eventually the enemy got wise, used the admin as cover and advanced to new cover.

I have no problem with admins BSing...just beware of your location ;)

Extremely minor issue, fantastic game and that can be attributed to the administration of it. Just a note to whomever might admin in the future.

I have a "yell twice, shoot once" rule about getting admins to move.

And do you think that's honorable shooting a non-combatant? Do you shoot camera men too? To me that seems like an asshole thing to do.

A few admins got shot up pretty good because people weren't identifying their targets and blind firing around corners. I think it's even worse if you do identify an admin, then willingly pull the trigger on them.

I think he saying if an admin is in the way of his shot he'd yell at them twice then start shooting.
Which sounds perfectly fine to me.

You shoot at the enemy. If the admin happens to get in the way after you already yelled twice... Oh well.

I would have to agree with you about the annoyance in the village. I was also trying to yell at the admins to move out of the way. Sometimes that's the negative thing about having too many admin on the field. They tend to gather in groups and chat.

i tried to stay constantly on the move at at the edges of the field near the railroad tracks and near the freeway. trying to spread us out. because i saw that there was plenty of admin over at the city centers.
I am not half as good as I want to be, but I am twice as good as you think I am.

Wombat thanks for trying to get my radio running and letting me use your 21. I loved spotting for you. It was very fun to watch juice get popped in the face.

To SOTA: thanks for letting me roll with you. Had a great time until my M110 went janky.

To mehdi/EDG: learn some trigger control and target ID... We looked nothing like any other team yet you guys were still engaging us.

EDIT: iPad fails when trying to auto spell...

I agree with both of you. He's an asshole, and the admins should spread out.

I had a great time and while I found admins in my sights at least 4 times during the game, found they all responded to yelling, being waved over and getting a thumbs up 'thank you'.

I will be writing up this game and my visit on a few of the local boards and will put a link to that when I am home (currently haunting AONW more). I am sore and tired so will be dragging my a$$ and visiting surplus places a bit on the way.

I wanted to meet and greet more after game, but had to focus on packing in order to get my campsite in order and move on. I DID get a chance to shake hands with EDG commander for a great organized effort and the professionalism he and his crew brought to EDG. Next time I will aim to attend a full weekend game to hang out more and swap more lies.

Anyone from my squad EDG '1-2' pm me. You were great squaddies and I will be looking for you on my return. YOU ROCK. My new M4 hopup was stuck full-on thus leaving me CQB capable only (glad the enemy didnt figure that out) but I realised it didnt matter. My squad mates were my weapon, and you were effective, depenable, and accurate. You fought with heart and determination that will be described to my airsoft buddies up north. Hero, you were an excellent 2IC with just the right combo of responsiveness and initiative. The rest of you pm me, so I can put names to faces give you the credit you earned.

More to follow.
