The main purpose of this thread was to better understand the concept of getting the best range i can with my rifle and scope.

Just to clarify, and I think you know this, but a scope actually does nothing for a rifle's accuracy. Does a LOT for your accuracy, but the rifle will still be just as (in)accurate as it was before.
