Soooo, my gun is kaput. Looking for a new one. Preferably with a 509mm barrel (so I can put my tightbore in it), full metal, RIS, takes standard m4/m16 parts and mags ~$300-400

Random parts from my old gun for sale if you want them. Receiver and rails, stock, hop up, CA SR 25 gearbox shell, 12 7mm metal bushings, 2 different cylinders (jbu m14 one, and a regular m4 one) random stuff from the gearbox, semi-auto only fire selection plate....stuff like that.

What receivers are they? Is it a TM compatable metal set?

JG SR25 metal upper and lower. Idk what it's compatible with. Might be able to try it on an m4 and find out.

It's a nice body. I wish I didn't have to get rid of it. It should take a standard version 2 gearbox, the one there was apparently a big longer than a normal one.

I have the experience (and others could probably back me up) and am of the opinion that KWA AEG's are mostly all hype. I would recommend a G&P M4 that you could put your M4/M16 stuff on.

I'd look into buying an XM110 if your looking for a DMR.. Either that or switch over to the M14. Those make great rifles in my experience with them

You can always get an extra upper though. HK 416 has the medium length barrel with collapsing stock, I ran it on an M16 for a little. Not too bad.
