Buy and learn to use an AEG first. This is not COD... You have to master a DMR rifle, trigger control and shot placement before you should consider buying a sniper rifle for serious use. (it takes lots more money time and effort to create a functioning sniper rifle than a decent AEG)...

And if you'd like to ignore good advice, UTG snipers are decent stock, but you need to teak them a bit before they are skirmishable.

Get a G&P!
(if you must feel like a 1337 snip4rz, then get an M16 with a TBB and a scope. Happy?)

Its been said that a good bolt action rifle is built, not bought. UTG's guns are fairly good stock, but more importantly, they are very easily upgraded... L96's mainly.

if you want to get a utg you ahce tog et teh l96, the l96 is a clan of the maruzen type 96, and that gun is AMAZINGGGG. With utg 96, the first thing you do is check the barrel spacers, since they are form, they are easily manipulated, so your barrel might be funky out of the box.

Grammar, Good Sir!

He is right; if you end up trying to be a part of the elite 1% of this community who can actually put tickmarks on the stock while turning the bolt, then you need to build the rifle, not buy it. Well shoot, buy it first, don't steal it.

Sir , give the kid some slack, please go review some of your earlier posts, this is the classic case of the pot calling the kettle black.

I am experiencing fury similar to when Strikerz was posting in the same thread with two different opinions on two different accounts...

Anyhow, I think these threads keep popping up more and more; "is this good" "what should I get" "make my decisions for me". Old posts are old.

Patrick, I 100% agree with that. But you know the rule; once something is stickied, nobody will ever read it :I.

So my question is how do you build a rifle? Are you saying buy a stock one and upgrade? it or what are you saying?

Precisely. You need the base gun, and at least a Tightbore Barrel...I'm more of an AEG man myself, but there are plenty of videos on Youtube that could help you along your way. Be forewarned that a custom bolt rifle will take hours of TLC, so you can't go half way.

In all honesty, start with an AEG.
