Echo1 M14 Socom issues

Postby tetsixty8 » Thu Jun 23, 2011 10:17 pm

I have a echo1 m14 socom, I bought a 10 pack of king arms 110 round midcaps, didnt feed at all, so i have been trimming the bb catch to make them feed right, works great.

So i have been using the single shot mode
and my single shot started to crap out, is this a trigger contact issue? it feels like the piston is not making a full cycle.

also i installed a 509 mm 6.01 barrel, noticed a few bb's falling way short when firing on semi.....

It sounds like it could be a trigger switch issue, but if it's new is is probably not that as they usually take awhile to fail. I would check the batteries. Try a new one even if you think the one you used is good. I have voltage checked batteries that read OK but would not push a load.

If it truely is not cycling all the way, it is most likely a voltage issue. Check the wiring too. Good luck

I did try several batteries( 7.4 2c lipos), same thing. I removed the stock, ran a few busts then saw a puff of smoke, not sure where it came from, smelled like it came from the motor, now it has stopped working...

gonna pull the motor and try a different one. look at the trigger contacts, better to breakdown in the man-cave than out on the field....needed a reason to tear the gearbox apart anyway

I got this gun a while ago and hated it. I guess I was just unlucky with a faulty model

Took it out on a skirm last sunday, worked great no more problems! its really quiet, shoots about 370 with 2's. I ran 28's shoots like a lazer...I ordered the kingarms 110 mid cap mags box set, had to mod them to get them to work, trimmed the bb catch, and silicone every two loads, they feed perfect now......

I bought this gun a while ago, and returned it the same day. I hated it! It fed crappy, and the preformance just sucked. you can try AONW, they might mix it.
