M4/M16 Mag feed to M249 help

Postby Deuce [TFW-AO6] » Wed Jul 13, 2011 11:55 pm

Hey everyone,
I am wondering what brand of M4/M16 midcap magazine will best feed into a Echo 1 M249. I want a couple mids just in case my box mag has issues.

Have not had a problem with any brand so far. Do not use them much but still no problems.

Hey thanks guys, so most brands will work. I am looking into this because On my team we like to do a lot of stealth recon stuff so A noisy box mag wouldn't be very quiet so I want to have like three Mid caps to put into the side of my M249 while we are moving and put my box mag into a pouch to help reduce noise, maybe i'm wrong on this idea, but if you have better ideas I am all ears.

Shove a spare sock into the box to quiet down the rattle?

You could line the inside of your box mag with thin foam to keep the bbs from hitting the side plastic sides.
