I do a lot of rewiring of AEGs, I have to say buying wire in bulk rather than buying single wire harnesses is much cheaper in the end if you wire more than a few guns. If you're looking for low resistance wire be on the lookout for PTFE (Teflon) silver plated copper wire, it's the stuff I use and have had great results with.
My preferred site is McMaster Carr, item # 7304K208 for red and # 7304K341 for black. Along with the wire you will need to buy and install motor connectors, something the premade wire harnesses already have installed, their Item # is 69525K59 they’re also available in 100 packs for just a few dollars more.
A cheaper site I recently found is Bulkwire.com, although I haven't ordered from them yet, their wire is much cheaper per foot in price than McMaster Carr.
If you’re not looking for low resistance wire and just looking to replace the stock wiring, I recommend silicone copper wire as it’s much more flexible than the PTFE silver plated wire. I buy silicone wire from
Hobbyking.com a long with my Lipos, XT60 connectors and Deans connectors.
There's a difference between a person who has a screwdriver and a person who knows what they are doing.
