M4 mags not feeding for a high speed setup

Postby Runner1 » Sun Jul 24, 2011 8:52 pm

I have a high speed G36 thats set up thats running 350 and about 25 rps.
I changed the magwell into a m4 one, and I bought a brand new set of MAG m4 mid caps.... they aren't feeding.

Problem maybe........
The Battleaxe mag conversion?
The Brand of Mags themselves (Break em in?)

So, I know there are alot of m4 users here, can I get some help on the best m4 mid caps for a high speed set up.

Thank you!

Try silicon, new bb's, try another mag. If that isn't the problem it might be the air nozzle out of place.

get a sector chip. smooths out the tappet plate movement and therefore feeding.

You have to lube up the Mag brand mags. I had feeding issues with a set of the 190rd ones, I took them apart, lubed the track and have not had a feeding issue since.

The adapters can be hit or miss. You may have to jostle the magazene in the adapter every 50 or so rounds to get it to feed.

Also, as mentioned above, the mag magazines can be tricky as far as feeding goes. Lube each mag and then shoot around 300 rounds through em, and see if that helps.

This even happens on some M4's that don't like midcaps.

Lube the magazine (if you are comfortable) and wrap thin tape around the upper part to fit it into the magwell tightly. That should help.
