Barrel mounted M203 question?

Postby El Diablo » Fri Jul 29, 2011 9:51 pm

So my question is this, does putting a barrel mounted M203 on a KWA M16 cause any barrel damage/wobble?

I really like the looks of barrel mounted M203s and would really like to get one I just don't want to mess up the barrel to the gun I JUST bought!

If you do it right it shouldn't.

The mounts might mark up your barrel a little bit, but that should only be visible when the handguard and M203 are taken off. Hardly significant.

If your gun has rails, get a QD mount 203 and you should be golden.

this is an m203s. It's really short, and you have to use short shells. I have no damage other than the parts that clamp to the rail (a little scratching), but no big deal.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty

Yep. I have a 203 mounted to my KWA's with a barrel mount.

No issues.

What sort of range and spread do you get from your 203? I have yet to see one used at a game and I've wondered how effective they are.

Multiple factors will determine this. Payload ( bbs, nerf footballs), type of shell and propellant. I personally like the madbull pb 4 which is a multi payload shell ( paintballs, bbs, flour or whatever). It is charged with co2 @ 500 psi which makes a healthy pop when you fire it. a football will typically go 100 ft +-.

Are you recommending this launcher?

With that unit firing bbs, what kind of approximate range and spread do you get?

Thanks.

With that shell, CO2--ot propane--and, filling the shell half full of .20 BB's I can put BB's about as far as an AEG will shoot. The spread at 100' is about 10' in radius. I rarely hit anything that way. They're fun, though, and everybody turns around and looks.

Yes, although I own the classic army launcher which has been great.Very similar. I have not seen any brands really be troublesome. All they really are is a piece of pipe to guide the payload plus a mechanism to engage the shell primer. I like the QD mount as you can readily move it from gun to gun to stand alone mount without much fuss.

Agreed, the shot gun like BOOM really is a head turner, and it has a pretty significant psychological effect on the op. Lots of people grab some ground when you torch one off. :D

i usually look for the shooter, 'cause i know there's a good chance his finger isn't anywhere near the trigger of his rifle.
