STOLEN AIRSOFT GUNS

Postby Android » Sat Aug 13, 2011 11:37 pm

I just had my house broken into and instead of taking game systems, flat-screen tv's or computers, they stole my Airsoft guns.

Here's a list of what was taken:
-A&K M60VN. It's got the barrel shroud to make it look like Tunnel Rat's gun.
-A&K Masada (FDE) with EOTech 552 optic. It had 10.5" barrel with Noveske Fire Pig flash hider. Folding stock is broken but affixed with metal brace.
-VFC M635 short M4 carbine. Painted tan/green "net" pattern. Had Madbull grenade launcher & replica T1 micro on riser attached.
-Echo 1 G36C. Has Punisher sticker on left side and my initials (JCSG36C) written in silver sharpie inside stock (fold it to see initials).
-Dboys AK-74 with sling.
-KJW Colt Python gas pistol.
-Classic Army Mk.46. Front flash hider was removed, has mag pouch on stock. Also missing CA box mag wired to Deans.

Please keep an eye out when making purchases on AP/Craigslist/pawn shops for these items.

(Edited for other stolen items)

Do you have any pictures that you could give to local LE?

I do. I'll send it to her.

We'll keep an eye out down here, as well. The stuff could end up outside of your state...you never know.

I should note it looks like the thieves were going to steal my roommate Ryan's large plasma TV, a Wii and lots of games but they were left in the hallway. My other roommate Les & his girlfriend found the mess, and we're thinking them coming home spooked them before they could make off with any other goodies.

I've gone through my list of Airsoft friends that know where I live (and have cars) and they're more or less pretty decent members of the community. Whoever stole my crap also wore gloves (no fingerprints for CSI :( ) so they know what they're doing. That in itself means they're competent, which elimates anybody here on AP. :p

Have you given the local pawn shops a heads up or are the cops handling that? Sorry to hear that all of your sexy guns got jacked; hopefully they won't have any way to move the goods.

Did you have orange tips on any of them? There's a good chance that if any/all of the members are in some form of gang or other group that tends toward violence, they could have mistaken them for real and just saw an opportunity to get automatic weapons over tv's, which they could take from any house.

IF that is the case, there's a good chance they have no idea what they're worth, and they could try to dump them as fast as possible when they realize they're airsoft.

All guns had the orange tips removed, so they may have thought these were "real" guns. I'd really hate for these jerks to try doing some fancy armed robbery with my airsoft guns and further putting this hobby in a bad light.
