If you can get over the proprietary parts, 2 piece hop up system (can be a good or bad thing), and ugly externals, then I'd pick one up.

I think the best example of how good KWA M4/M16's are is Ogrejager. He knowingly uitlizes an 11.1 lipo, and blows through 10k rounds a game (routinely). He has had only a handful of issues, and they are issues that ANY gun would have when being run that hard.

Exactly. It's just like every other gun, but with a huge price tag to accompany it :?

No, KWA M series are not "like every other gun". I will be the first to admit that I thought the same way. But once you've been inside one (giggity) you know they are different. Yes, they are expensive, but there is a reason they can command such a high price tag.

And Limpy: I have not made Dboys work better then G&P's. I've discovered that a Dboys will run just fine out of the box. It's when you open the gearbox (usually with the thinking that it's crap and won't work right out of the box) that things get screwed up. Once you open the gearbox, there goes any hope of it ever working 100%.

What are you saying, Seahawk?

Have you ever looked inside of a G&P or CA? I've had my CA for well over a year and it's been through hell and back, and I've yet to have any internal issues with it. In fact, what happened is that the upper receiver broke where the stock connected, and even still the internals are great and it shoots great.

Have you owned either a G&P or a CA?

Wat.

KWA M4 = $300
JG M4 + shim lube AoE correct cleaning o-ring mod etc.. = $200

I'm a big believer in tuning though so that may be why I don't approve of the whole "LiPo ready" super AEG scheme

I have been inside one when the fulcrum (sector gear) snapped off of my M16  I'm not going to argue, its a beautiful gun and built well out of the box, I just think you could do a lot more with the money you save buying a lesser brand or clone and making it special

I'm done.

OP: Get whatever the shazaam you want. If you want an AEG that will run great for a long time without having to do anything to it, AND CAN AFFORD IT, get a KWA. If you want amazing externals, get a G&P. If you want a compromise between externals and internals, get a CA. If you want a cheap gun you don't really care about, get a Dboys. It's personal preference. The brand/quality/whatever argument has been going on for longer then you have been alive. Find what model (m4, m16, Soc16, M14,...) you want, then find the brands that carry that model.

yes i have owned CA's before.......

im saying the yes the Ca and G&P have good internals, but the kwa has better internals. The CA AND G&P are better all around but from a purely internal standpoint kwa wins

I wouldn't touch a JG with anything under any circumstances.

I have a KWA M4 RIS and I love it to pieces. I have put around 10k rounds through it since I got it and I only had a self inflicted problem. I can't speak for the internals because I havent pulled it apart. But the exterior is solid and comfy for me. I am a bit bias toward M4s so take my opinion as you will.

They are a bit spendy but I am happy with the extra cost because of quality.

Cheers.

riddick could fill you in better but here is what i know. As most of us already know Cybergun, being the nazis of airsoft, have Aquired alot of trademarking rights, and have started to go after companies who are selling guns without the trades. my case and point will be the CA g36 line and their mp5 (and riddick can confirm this as he is the one that informed me) have been effectively shut down due in part to H&k cracking down and also Cybergun. (who owns spartan imports btw) Cracking down
