Sorry to play devils advocate, but I've had three ACM M500s in some shape or form. Never had a problem with seals if the screws were tight and the gas unit lubed. However... the cocking bars. Will. Fail.
The wobbly Mossberg design puts way too much stress on the bars for cheap airsoft money metal, and they break within a few months. The steel replacements are costly and inevitably suck, leading people to try to use real ones... that said, I've never seen a DIY guide online for it. They're supposedly a close fit, though. If you can get the gun working, I say go for it, as they're awesome show guns as well as decent skirmish pieces. You get 150 BBs on one fill of BBs and gas, about thirty bursts.
I'd say go for the Marui style tri-shots. You get good rounds, good range and capacity, for about $60 if you go with a clone - most of them being pretty decent.
