Need a little help

Postby Ramer » Mon Aug 22, 2011 9:47 pm

I'm looking all over the internet for the exact specs on the Maruzen M1100 Defender. Not the Defender II; I don't want the one that kicks the shells out. I found a couple reviews, but I can't seem to find it's approximate FPS or range. Anybody know where I can figure this out, or happen to know the specs?

i had one of the shell ejecting ones a while back, but the non ejector models were old and rare. the only people who will likely still even have one of those to tell you about it will probably have never fired it.

I'd love to get my hands on one to see how it performs. I had a Maruzen M1100 Revision at one point; the semi automatic monster that was so loud it scared the crap out of people, but it's long gone. I just need a decent shotgun. I hate those pieces of crap that fire a single BB. Kinda negates the point of a shotty in the first place.

Sorry to play devils advocate, but I've had three ACM M500s in some shape or form. Never had a problem with seals if the screws were tight and the gas unit lubed. However... the cocking bars. Will. Fail.

The wobbly Mossberg design puts way too much stress on the bars for cheap airsoft money metal, and they break within a few months. The steel replacements are costly and inevitably suck, leading people to try to use real ones... that said, I've never seen a DIY guide online for it. They're supposedly a close fit, though. If you can get the gun working, I say go for it, as they're awesome show guns as well as decent skirmish pieces. You get 150 BBs on one fill of BBs and gas, about thirty bursts.

I'd say go for the Marui style tri-shots. You get good rounds, good range and capacity, for about $60 if you go with a clone - most of them being pretty decent.

I've read the real steel cocking arms are a drop in replacement. Or just get the marushin 8mm version ;)
