What in your opinion is the average range of contact in your typical outdoor Airsoft game ?

I'd say it starts off nice and close (like Jester316 said) but as people get tired/lazy they tend to stand back and lob bb's a little bit farther than usual. In my opinion...

I like to get really close and use a pistol, I get hit more but I think its more fun. My typical pistol kill is from about 30-50 feet xD. though sometimes, I engage from distances rendering from 100 to 200 feet, when I use an AEG or sniper.

I've seen a gun go around 300-350', but that was with a ridiculously modified IER-hop and bb configuration. More realistically is around 50-125'

You just need to get the pistol I'm getting, with a range of almost 200 feet

I usually end up getting pretty close but I often see people from 250-300ft away that I just don't bother shooting at. I just move closer.
