My Only Complaint...

Postby Sahronax » Sun Sep 04, 2011 7:29 pm

My brand-new G&G FN2000 randomly gets BBs stuck inside the body of the gun. I have no idea how or when this happens, but every time I come back from a game there are as many as half a dozen rattling around inside the stock. They come out fairly easily, I just open the hop-up cover and turn it upside down a few times, but it still seems like a very strange thing to happen to a replica.

Thoughts?

Very possible. I don't know if Metzger uses high caps, but this is something to look in to.

Are there any visible spaces in the magwell where a BB could get through? Also, have you been noticing any skips in the shooting? I.e. a full auto burst but only a few BB's come out?

Call the surgeons and tell them to take the day off, because I'll be doing all the operating now.

There's a point where this needs to stop, and we've clearly passed it

I haven't gotten around to modifying my mid caps yet so I'm still running high-caps, although I haven't noticed the door being open when I pull the mags out.
There doesn't appear to be any gaps in the magwell; but now that you mention it I have been having some feeding issues, I thought it was the magazines themselves but what were you thinking?

Well, it could be possible that some where in your drive train (or feeding process/ AKA magazine to flashider) that BB's are leaking out somewhere. If your comfortable with opening it up, check the area where the barrel and hop connect, and the piston area.

Lol, I'm not, not at this point... However, upon further (and better-lit) inspection I discovered what appears to be a gap between the gearbox and the main body of the gun inside the magwell; should I have reason to believe that BBs are slipping out of my magazines and into the body of my gun?

Perhaps. Take some tape and put it over the gap next time you're in a skirmish, and see if that resolves the issue.

Also, tape up your high cap door. What Malik said.
