Buy one of everything and then see what you do not like that should work for you.

That is a good idea silent stalker and I might have some installation questions for the tight bore barrels and the internal parts.

Since you already told me what you where going to do to it, start with a tight bore barrel and get a M120 spring, then the next best thing would be Motor and gear box. Don't forget to upgrade your battery as well, with all the new parts you'll need more power. Another thing, remember to pop new piston heads in and maybe a metal bucking.

But really, get a NICE barrel, and upgrade your bucking. If you're feeling ambitious you can get a motor installed. Other then that, get professional help, especially if you never have taken down a gearbox before.

You're joking right? A metal bucking? Have you ever even upgraded a gun before? The bucking is dollar for dollar the best upgrade part if you're going for accuracy and range (which the OP seems to be doing), and with proper compression and a tightbore, an M120 WILL put you over 400FPS, the limit for most fields. Telling someone to upgrade "Motor and gear box" is completely useless advice, that does him no good whatsoever. And finally, piston heads, if you have a decent one (like one in the G&G CM that the OP has, for example), will not wear out nearly as fast as the piston.

With that out of the way, OP, I'd suggest you start with a madbull blue bucking, along with a madbull tightbore. I've personally found the Prometheus not to be worth 2x the price, but it's up to you if you want one although if you're spending that much I'd get the lonex tightbore, I'm getting much better results with it over a Prometheus. If you want to get into the gearbox before it breaks, the first thing I would get would be a new O ring since every G&G I've worked on has had pretty bad compression. G&G pistons and piston heads are pretty decent, but if you want that extra reliability I'd pick up a bravo blue piston. I've been using the same one for ~75-100k rounds at 440FPS and ~27rps and it's held up great. If the FPS isn't where you like it, a Guarder SP110 spring should put you really close to 400FPS, my old SR16 chronoed 399 with one and a Prometheus soft bucking, perfect compression, and a 6.03mm tightbore. Also, I'm pretty sure the newer CM's come with metal spring guides (my proline G&G UMP didn't but I think it's a little older) but if yours doesn't then you might want to change that out too. I also like to put metal cylinder heads in all of my guns, but that is just my preference, you should be fine with the polycarb for a less demanding setup. G&G motors are pretty lacking so if you're not happy with your trigger response/ROF and don't want a high amperage battery then I'd suggest a torque motor like the SRC, JG, element, or SHS motor. A cheap ACM neo magnet motor should do fine. If you need any help, I can post the link to any upgrade parts you can't find.

Either a motor or a battery with a higher amperage. The motor has no adverse effects to your internals and will cost more than the battery, but the battery will put more wear on your trigger contacts and connectors if you don't have deans. You can also get a high speed gear set but I would recommend against it in your case since it's the hardest to install.

SHS high torque motor. Absolute best motor on the market next to the Lonex ones.

Also like League said, the CM's do come with metal spring guides (without bearings of course..) and some pretty decent internals. The bucking is really all preference though, as everyone has their favorite flavor and thing that works for them. For me, it's the Prometheus purple.

If you do change the motor out, make sure to adjust it's height right.

If you're handy with a soldering iron, you could buy an extreme-fire fet. You will see a noticeable difference with that thing installed, plus, it will save your electrical parts in your gun a lot of wear and tear (mainly the contacts)
