What exactly do you want out of your gun?

Motor replacement is definitely a good idea, mine just went out last week and I'm under 3k rounds through my G&G.

Faster as in...? ROF (Rounds per second) or FPS (Feet per second)?
If your looking for FPS, you shouldn't be replacing the motor.

I think the OP mentioned earlier he wanted more ROF, but I honestly think the SHS HS would be too much for the G&G to handle..

I personally feel a high rate of fire is over rated, just a waste of bb's. I would suggest getting a 9.6v battery first and see if that satisfies you. Then do the bucking/barrel upgrade and a spring. If after that you feel you still have a need for speed, do the motor and lipo.but for your gun, I would keep it simple at first.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty

If you go for motor/higher ROF, don't just get an SHS motor. Go the whole nine yards and get the piston, gears, etc.

I'm pretty sure an SHS HS motor alone with a 9.6v will yield close to 25 rps.. Way too much for a that gearbox imo..

If you are looking for high ROF the SHS, Dream Army (KHmountain) and X High Tech (EBairsoft) will not let you down. I have had both the high speed and high torque versions and they both proform equally. These motors are giving me around 31 RPS with a 15c 1600mAh 11.1v Hot Power stick lipo and even higher (35+) with my Flightmax 2200mAh 3S1P 25C lipos and easily pulling an m120 spring. Jawz of 1st-sword can atest to this too.
