It's a matter of preference, nothing personal. If you are hanging out with your friends, you probably don't want your parents hanging out too. Right? Well, on the flip side, some adults want to participate in this hobby with other adults - without having to hang around a bunch of teenagers. If there were 2 games on the same weekend, one for 21+ and one for all ages, I would go to the 21+ game. If there were too concerts, one all ages, and one 21+, I would go to the 21 and over concert. It's just a preference.

There are times when I despair of dealing with immature kids and their foolishness and lack of ability to pay attention, both in airsoft and life in general. We have allowed any age to come out to our place to play, some as young as 7. Most have gone by the wayside pretty quickly, but several have shown real promise and have become real assets. I have allowed several airsoft birthday parties to be held at our place, and they actually turned out to be pretty fun. I acted as the ref / bad guy in the weeds, and taught some tactics. Not everyone's cup o' tea but you might give it a try.

Most of you are too young (under 40) to appreciate mentoring and the satisfaction that comes with it......Don't write em all off, there are some real pearls to be found.

I made it to the CAGE 1 time before it closed, It looked awesome , but alas the feds made it go away.....Leson here for all, avoid hassles with the IRS

Re the new facility, I'm stoked. I want to check this place out and perhaps have some input. It has to be financially advantageous for the latter to occur. Lets see what we can get going here folks. Let us all know when its operational

I think we should all relax because I got a coupon and they have pizza there.

Lactose intolerant.
They should learn to offer almond milk and delicious cereal.

How insensitive; they just lost my business.

All kidding aside, the fact they have ads up means they are open! I will be visiting within the month. Not next weekend though.

A google map search shows lots of chow within close proximity, Pizza is good however not the frozen cardboard crust kind  . No chow issues here, added plus Danner boot factory is close too!

Hmm. I'm generally up for CQB. And the pricing structure isn't too much different from Laser Tag. I might have to drop by one of these days and do a walkthrough to see if it is worth showing up at regularly, or if it is aimed specifically at the CODsoft crowd.

Sounds like really casual airsoft for COD fanboys. It sounds to casual, but then again this just the cover of the book.

TAC-OPS Trial-Runs - Volunteers Needed!!!

Postby axisofweasles » Sun Oct 16, 2011 9:03 pm

Hi, everyone!

I had a chance to have a peek inside the TAC-OPS venue and speak with the owners, Nora and Wade today! The space is huge! I, for one, am really looking forward to their opening day (targeted for first weekend of November)!

In an effort to connect with the adult Airsoft hobbyists, I have been graciously asked by TAC-OPS to find 10 RELIABLE, knowledgeable people to join me for trial runs through their CQB floor. This means they are looking for valuable feedback from experienced CQC operators which will go a long way to making TAC-OPS the go-to spot for indoor play, as well as Airsoft retail, in the Portland/Vancouver area.

SO! If you are up for a couple of hours of shooting your friends and offering invaluable advice to a really great family that wants to invest in the continuation of our sport, contact me via private message with a way to get ahold of you!

I would like to set up a block of time on Thursday the 27th or Friday the 28th, so as not to interfere with the Camp R&R Build or The Horde on the 29th. I have been informed that there will be no charge whatsoever associated with the trials, as you will be providing a consulting service to the business. :D

This is your chance to tailor an entire venue for maximum game-play enjoyment and adrenaline-pumpage so I hope to be inundated by responses from AP members!

Good hunting!

I would be happy to assist with this effort. I was a LEA trainer in tactics and firearms instructor and I hope that I would be of some use. I am not sure of my availability on those dates but, I will know @ 17000 tomorrow and advise.
