When I have held wars in the past... I would start at 10:00 and we would play till 4:00pm, without stopping for lunch. People had time to eat if they were dead... I also, sometimes have a 1hr training session from 9:00-10:00.

Ideally.....

Bed down late.
Be on 50% security.
Stand to.
Start right before sunrise.
Play all day until I'm exhausted.
Money well spent.

Depends on if I'm camping the night before or if I have to drive out on the day of. I'd be all for 8-9am if I'm already on site from the night before, otherwise, I'd rather start a little later.

I have a 50-90 minute drive to most fields.
Keeping that in mind, I like earlier start times at OPS since I usually camp and am at the field already, and later starts for skirms since I have to drive there the day of. ;)

See, Rick knows that the same shit has happened since the airsoft community started to grow in like 99/2000. So instead of bitching about people doing what has always been done and you don't choose to participate, either don't camp, or camp far away. No one is going to listen/care when you phony pony about it 2 days later on the forums.

Personal opinion, I like P6's attitude...crack O dawn...play 'til I can't!!

Reality? Moving the community to a 9am (solid) start time would be ideal. Even if you have been a drunken idiot the night before, you should be able to roll out at 9...if you can't? Too frickin' bad! The real military wouldn't give two micro-s**ts if you were hung over, why should we?

Rather than calling it an early day, how about we still play 'til 16:00 at least. That moves most OP's to 7 hours of actual gameplay, compared to the average 3.5 - 4 we seem to be at now.

And 'Oh By The Way'...yer on yer own fer lunch...no break in the middle.
