Keeping batteries warm!

Postby Nark » Sun Nov 20, 2011 3:57 pm

So I finally had my battery die because of the cold. Any one know of a way to keep that from happening while on the field?

Pocket between plate carrier and human body. Or in a pouch with one of those hand warmer thingys.

Call the surgeons and tell them to take the day off, because I'll be doing all the operating now.

There's a point where this needs to stop, and we've clearly passed it

be careful with the hand warmers. some of them can get VERY hot, and can cause lower quality batteries to swell.

Lipos are the way to go. Also there's these handy pockets on your BDUs where you can put your hands, or say, batteries which will keep them close to you and warm. Crazy hi-tech idea I know, but it may catch on.

As mentioned, this is during play. you can't keep your battery you are using in your pocket if you're in the game.
Not everyone has very best deal and has multiple batteries for their gun.

Lipo users don't have this problem. :)
