The assembling steps of a new outer barrel

To make the background story short, I have a Combat Machine M4, and I bought a RIS unti with extended rails (which means the rails pass the front sight post). Before buying this I failed to realize that on the CM M4 the front sight is welded on and not held on by pins (Like the Echo 1/JG series).

So this leaves me in a dilemma, what parts do I need to actually get to fit on my M4? I already know I will need a new outer barrel (obviously), which outer barrels are the best for this kind of project for those with experience have figured out?

Is your RIS a free-float tube? If so you can just hack the triangular front sight post off. Do you want a triangular front sight post? Yeah, you'll need a new outer barrel.

The original G&G outer barrels on the Combat Machine or Raider models really only work well with the original equipment.

You'll want a new outer barrel and either a Gas Block or replacement front sight. Check these out:

Yes its free float but I do want a front sight post.

Thanks Commie the front sight is exactly what I am looking for, but I was curious... Any major difference between the outer barrels? Is the Daniel Defense worth the extra 9 dollars?
