Internal/External Upgrades for G&G F2000 (G2010)

Postby xEdgecrusheRx » Tue Nov 29, 2011 1:25 pm

Greetings all. It has come time for pre tax return season and I am getting ready for a little Airsoft spending. In the spirit of the former, I would like to ask all of you what kind of recommendations you would have for me to upgrade an F2000 from G&G with stock internals.

From what I have learned in my short 10 months of experience with, I think I am confident that even when a gun comes "LiPo"-ready, it can still do with a lot of upgrades.

I would like to do the following:

INTERNALS

-increase range/effective range
--barrel length?
-increase ROF by 5 units per second
--what would I need to this end?
-decrease cycle noise from gears and motor
--is this even possible through practical means?

I am told that tight bore barrels at the level of 6.01 can actually cause more problems than they create help. Most of the literature that I have seen on this is people arguing about the physics of it. I just want to know if it's true or not

EXTERNALS

-add a grenade launcher to the weapon

------this poses a particular problem for me since I don't think that there is really a way to add a grenade launcher without simply cutting off part of the front edge and doing some other mods to get it mounted------

For range and accuracy get a tightbore (it doesnt have to be 6.01) and a new hop up bucking. For increased ROF you want a 9.6 battery or higher, maybe new gears and a motor.

I already have a 9.6 NiMH, although I have considered getting a 7.2 LiPo.
Do you have any specific recommendations as far as gear manufacturers?

Well G&G makes nice hop-up buckings and madbull has good all around internal parts so looking at their stuff would do some good :D

For range I would recommend a prometheus 6.03 tightbore barrel and a madbull blue hop-up bucking.
