Maybe, under the right circumstances the gun will run fine on a 14.8v? maybe a 500FPS set up?

You never know.

Hmm very valid point. He does have an RS SVD (**cough cough**), we've laughed about the idea of wrestling in an M170 spring, it's been done before.

Zee battery is pretty hugungous though..
[joke]Anybody know where to find an SVD PEQ?[/joke]

Just how fast do you think you want to shoot ? what you are all missing is a little know thing called suck back . :?
What the heck is this ? When your gun shoots too fast the piston is drawing back before the BB leaves the barrel . Ask any of the old ABT'ers they have seen this before . When you hold the trigger down the BB's start to drop short , the faster it shoots the shorter they fall . They start walking back towards you the longer you hold down the trigger. After 40 or 50 RPS you will start having this problem . If you want to invent the wheel keep trying . But with a little research you will see that if you want to just shoot faster you don't hot rod a turd . Buy a good gun to begin with .
When you feel the hairs on the back of your neck move, It's too late!! That's me pulling my knife out!!!

There are several techs on ASF and ASM that "push the limits" of ROF and FPS and use 14.8v lipos and are fine.

Also, lol @ helical gears for a high speed setup, reinforced gearbox shells, and upgraded trigger contacts.

We did the math on suck back a few years ago. It required a ridiculously high ROF IIRC.
Also like 8 months old.
