G&G GR15 Raider M4 orange tip

Postby Gator » Thu Dec 29, 2011 11:56 pm

Ever since i bought the M4 ive wanted to put a barrel extension/Mock suppressor, BUT my problem is the orange tip. This thing is a monster pain in the a$$ to get off. Ive looked in the forums on here and all over youtube. Ive put it in boiling water, Tryed the heat gun/hair dryer. And simply just trying to unscrew it off. I took the little screw out of the bottom and it still hasnt moved. If someone got it off or can help me with suggestions or how they did it and can explain how they did it, I would be very apreciative!

Do it all again for longer this time.
Or if it's plastic break it off.

GOOGLE HARDER.

I have the same rifle, I just don't give two shits about the tip so I sprayed it.

It takes a while to get rid of it, I might as well replace that half of the barrel.

What G&G used is like, industrial glue, so the shit is tough and takes awhile.

Don't boil it to the point where the tip turns liquid, you went too far.

And If that doesn't work, dremmel the thing off.

and, 200 post count.

I helped a friend with his because he too had a case of the "tards." Turns out, guns come with manuals, which took me 30 sec. to skim over and figure out that you have to unscrew it on the bottom, and twist off. It was such a complex process so if you need further help, I can offer my everyday child, expert advice on how to remove a screw. The trick is to make sure the flux capacitator within the orange tip is turned off. ;)

No, I didnt boil it to where it turned to liquid. The orange tip is still solid. Maybe ill try to use some good ol' brute force.

Kill yourself, please. ;)

Anyways, clamp the orange tip with a vice, and turn the whole entire gun clockwise... I had to resort to that with my F2000 (It comes with the same flash hider.)

Lolwut?

Anyways, definitely would recommend against smashing it. If you've already taken the little holder screw out of it I would recommend just taking a wrench to it, that's how I got mine off of my HK416
