I'm no expect with this because last time, I just used a screw driver, but if you melted it off, wouldn't there be no threads underneath for a silencer to screw onto??? Just throwing the thought out there.

Unless the laws of chemistry or whatever the shit it is have changed, I'm pretty sure metal doesn't melt as soon as plastic starts.

Oh sh*t, I forgot that the stock flashhider was plastic. I keep thinking of melting down a metal flashhider. That would take a lot more work. *Facepalm*

That's not your fault. I always replace the stock flash hider as soon as I get a new gun, so I have the constant thought that metal flash hiders come with the gun.

Boil the f*cker in this case. :)
