wearing a backpack with/over RRV

Hey guys I was wondering if there were any secrets to wearing a backpack over/with a RRV. I was figuring just making the chest and waist straps as tight as possible so its not bouncing around when I'm running around. Any other tips would be great!

yeah, I've not bothered using the waist straps. I often forget I have them. But the sternum strap and shoulder straps kept tight keeps it pretty stable.

I did a long a$$ op in Washington carrying my backpack over my chest rig the whole day with out any issues.

You can rig up a backpack to clip into the RRV shoulder straps and waist belt to wear them as a single unit. This usually involves buckles from ITW and some custom work. Alternately, if you have a Pantac RRV, Pantac sells a MAP that interfaces with the RRV, but the combo is expensive.

The downside of the SPINE MAP is you need to take off your rig to get into the pack, where a pack can be accessed with your gear still on.

Check out Android's MAP setup when he finishes it. He figured out a way to hook the backpack into the shoulder straps and stabilizer straps, but unclip the backpack without taking off the vest.
